Who

This is a concert that anyone who likes Salsa will highly appreciate. Oscar D' Leon is very big in the salsa music community with tons of CDs out. The music will be excellent...not too soft...not too loud....just right!

Why

Several people have mentioned that he is more popular than Gilberto Santa Rosa, for which I was at his concert at Blue Agave in Feb (that was Awesome!). This will be a fantastic turnout of fans. Come super early if you want a table.

Details

Blue Agave is a nice place to come relax and dance great salsa. This is a nice venue located in a good area with lots of parking by the club and across the street. The drink prices are pretty nice, with bottles of domestic beers costing only $3 a bottle, $4 for Corona. The dance floor is one of the bigger ones in San Diego, for a venue that plays salsa music (normally Fridays and Saturdays mixed with a lot of other types of music). The cost is $40 if buying the ticket beforehand, and the cost is $50 at the door.

To hear samples of his music, go to Amazon.com and enter Oscar D'Leon. Many CDs will come up, click on one called Pure Salsa that came out in 2006. When it opens, you'll be given the option to listen to samples of all of the songs on that CD. It sounds great!

Tickets can be purchased via ritmo Latino, ticket master.com, and at the door at Blue Agave.

If you missed Gilberto Santa Rosa---definitely make this salsa concert!
