The MAY Salsa Meet up will be held FRIDAY, MAY 23 starting with a salsa class from 8:30 p.m. - 9:45 p.m. at the Shakti Yoga Studio, 220 Lexington Avenue (between Elmwood & Ashland). Class fee is $10 or $25 for series of 3 classes. From 8:30 - 9:20, there will be a review of the basic step and position followed by a review of steps and instruction on a sequence. From 9:20 - 9:45 p.m. will be a practice dance to try new moves, dance and have fun! Upcoming salsa classes will be announced.
Please BRING shoes that are easy to dance in. The Yoga Studio has told me that NO boots, shoes, etc. can be worn from the outside on to the wood floors. You can change upon arrival into the studio.
I also suggest wearing light weight clothing (no sweaters) and to bring bottled water for yourself as it gets warm while dancing!
