I am your organizer and Salsa instructor Christine Almeida, and a singer too. I will have my first solo gig and I hope that the members can come out to support me. It is a different evening. A great place to meet people in that it is a romantic and intimate setting. I sing jazz, latin, pop standards and even a little country. The restaurant has carved out a little area for dancing, but I do not do hard Salsa. The best part, is that you will see familiar faces and that there is no cover. Christine Almeida & Company will kick off "late night" at Tomasino's. She is accompanied by some of the cities finest musicians. Her smooth and soothing vocal style has caught the attention of several local musicians and musical directors.
Christine delivers a spontaneous and sometimes unpredictable performance and presents an eclectic lineup of jazz, Latin, country, and pop standards. As an American singer with Latin roots, she surprises audiences by transitioning popular standards from English into Spanish. "Meaningful, romantic lyrics pull us in, and singing Spanish lyrics to a great American love song, can add even more fire." says Christine. She gets her message across, even when she sings an all Spanish piece to an all American audience.
