Better get to classes because there is a lot happening in December for Salsa dance lovers...check out the message board for happenings and schedules.

Classes begin this Wednesday December 9, 2009. Changes have been made so go to www.latindancecompany.biz for more information. Classes are held at the beautiful Cafe el Sol at the United Community Center where you can grab a bite to eat before or after class. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes with a smooth letter bottom or dance shoes that stay securely on your feet. (Rubber soled shoes will ruin your knees and slow down your turns.) Classes are only $10 each if you enroll for the month (4 weeks) and $12 for drop ins.

Basic Salsa - 6:30 to 7:30

Intermediate Salsa - 7:30 to 8:30

Performance Salsa - 8:30 to 9:30

We had a group of 22 Salsa dancers at this workshop, including me and Edgar Molina from Madison. It is a 6 week class,being taught by two very knowledgable salsa coaches. This is a wonderful way to get to know other dancers so that when you arrive at the Salsa clubs, you will know people and know what level they are dancing at. New Students and guest always welcome. Basic Bachata Class every Wednesday at 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM

For new students who want to learn the Bachata. Before we teach the combinations, you need to learn the beat, the Bachata movement, the basic steps and the basic turns, and hand changes.

Intermediate Class (Salsa "on one")at 7:30 to 8:30 PM

This class focuses on new combinations. Christine "La Maestra" knows hundreds of combinations and will pass on a new combination every week. Then we will apply it to some that we have learned in the past.

Basic Salsa: 8:30 to 9:30 PM

Women you need to be leadable. Men you need to stay in charge, while making it enjoyable for a Salsera to dance with you. In the basics you will strengthen your lead and following capability.

Our Meetup is a great kickoff party for world class salsa dancers Carla Voconi and Adolfo Indacochea who are traveling Directly from Italy to Wisconsin especially to meet you. They will be performing a dance demonstration and some of the states most talented instructors will be dancing and socializing off and on the floor!

This incredible dance team is here to conduct a workshop sponsered by Latin Dance Company Productions and Dando Mambo, the Sunday after the social on 5/31/09. Dress to impress ladies, and men, no jeans, dressy casual is great. The Milwaukee Baile Salsa members are wonderful and friendly. Welcome all new members of the Milwaukee Baile Salsa Meetup Club! Workshop Description 4x 50 Minute Workshops

Bachata Foundation/Dominican Style Bachata - 4:00 PM
Get ready to learn a great foundation of moves including Bachata motion, turns, half turns and Dominican motion. This class sets the foundation of the entire workshop. This workshop focuses on material taught on our Level I Bachata DVD.

Bachata Hot Combinations - 5:00 PM
Get ready to learn amazing Signature Lee "El Gringuito" Bachata moves. This class will utilize many of the principles taught in Bachata Foundations. You will start to develop your Domincan Style Bachata step with moves like La Dominicana and then be ready for exciting combinations like Extreme Bachata. This workshop focuses on moves taught on our Level II Bachata DVD.

Dance demonstration and show during the dinner hour - 6:00 PM
Dinner is on your own and not included as part of the workshop, however, most of us will be conveniently staying on the premises to try the cuisine at this wonderful new restaurant. Lee and Nohelia will be performing a demonstration during this time.

Bridging the Gap Between Bachata & Salsa- 7:00 PM
In this class you will learn how to take Salsa combinations and convert them into Bachata moves. Both dances share some basic musicalities. You will learn a number of Salsa combinations and then we will convert them into Hot Bachata Moves

Bachata Tricks and Dips - 8:00 PM
Get ready to Spice Up Your Bachata with amazing tricks and dips. This "LA Style Flair" can be added at key moments in songs to give that extra "punch." You will learn Bachata Dip, Tango Lift and Dip and Hypnotic Bachata! We will also dicuss safety and common elements among moves. This workshop focuses on moves taught on our Level III Bahata DVD.
Followed by:
Social dancing to a mix of Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, and Reggaeton DJ "El Gringito" mixing - 9:00 to 12:00 PM
Enrollment Fee:
$20 per class per person - All four classes for $65.

Members of the Milwaukee Baile Salsa Club or any Latin Dance Company student, past or present receive a 10% discount on your choice of any of these boot camp classes.
