Welcome, Tallahassee Salsa Fans!

I'd like to start this meetup group to find other people who are interested in learning Salsa and possibly arrange classes / workshops as well as find practise partners and people to go out to local clubs with who are at a similar skill level. I just started this meetup group (13June07) and I've gotten some great ideas from people already and would welcome more.

Ideally, I'd like to organize a group of people who are mutually supportive of each others goals in dance. I'm fortunate in that most of my experiences in dance have been very positive, but I often hear from other people how they had negative experiences with such things as partners who actually physically hurt them while dancing or partners who acted in ways that weren't helpful in building confidence. One goal of mine is to create an atmosphere or a forum that encourages people to be thoughtful and patient with their partners.
