Introduction

Hello all, I grew up listening to salsa, and while I'm far from an expert, I do know a few things about salsa. I hope this group grows, and I look forward to reading messages and maybe participating in some discussions.

Who is one of your favorite Salsa artists?

Too many favorites to name! Oh, you said one... Ok, Willie Colon, I love the lyrics in most of his songs.

Name the first Salsa concert you attended?

As a kid, I heard Raphy Leavitt y la Selecta back in the 70s in Teatro Puerto Rico in NYC. In the "Fiestas Patronales" in Puerto Rico, a bit later, I had the pleasure of hearing several artists, including Celia Cruz for free!

If you were a Salsa musician what instrument would you play?

The Piano
